The Lee College of Engineering’s senior design program brings together students and industrial partners in a collaborative research environment. As they tackle real-world engineering projects, the engineering students and their industry sponsors are afforded unlimited possibilities for learning and achievement. The multi-disciplinary senior design program at UNC Charlotte is not new. Professors Coleman (ECE) and Sheldon (ME) implemented this course in the mid 1990's. Why is senior design important? Who else is doing Senior Design? Read this recent ASEE article for more information.

In addition to the industrial/multi-disciplinary program, the Mechanical Engineering Department and Civil Engineering Department have Senior Design Programs that are unique.  They are accessible thru the “Departmental Programs” link on the left side.
